Overview

Blakes inSource, a division of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, is seeking staff lawyers to support our expanding practice across both transactional and litigation/dispute-related matters. We are looking for talented and motivated professionals with experience in corporate, commercial, and/or litigation work who are eager to join our growing inSource team and take on substantive, meaningful responsibilities.

Blakes inSource operates as an alternative service delivery model, designed to serve clients in innovative and efficient ways. Our staff lawyers are involved in a wide range of work, including:

  • Transactional Work: Conducting due diligence, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, advising on corporate governance matters, and supporting sophisticated corporate transactions.
  • Litigation and Dispute Support: Engaging in complex document review, responding to cybersecurity and data breach incidents, assisting with internal and regulatory investigations, preparing chronologies and case analyses, and supporting large-scale litigation and arbitration teams.

Staff lawyers work closely and collaboratively with Partners and Associates across various practice groups at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, often taking on significant responsibility in the delivery of high-quality legal services to our clients.

Job Requirements:

  • Called to the Bar of Ontario
  •  Licensed by the Law Society of Ontario
  •  Experience in transactional legal work and/or document review is an asset, but not required
  •  Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently, often under tight deadlines

Staff lawyers are initially hired on a contract basis, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position.
